    Riverside Cabin has been lovingly hand-crafted to create a unique and luxurious retreat for families and couples to enjoy. The rustic, timber walls and warming log burner create a cosy space to relax and unwind, whilst the panoramic balcony maximises the stunning riverside views. Spend your days exploring the vast woodland and your evenings relaxing in the bubbling hot tub under the stars. Meanwhile, the Lake District is just 40 minutes away and provides an abundance of activities and picturesque walking routes.

  • The space

    This single-storey log cabin combines neutral colour tones and chic pops of colour to create a relaxing space amidst the riverside location.

    Step through the front door and into the hallway, where you will immediately feel a sense of warmth and comfort. The giant timber walls, paired with Scandinavian-style décor sets the tone for this cosy home from home.

    The open-plan living space features a comfortable lounge, kitchen and dining area. The décor complements the environment perfectly with hand-crafted side tables made from real logs and antler chandeliers placed above. After a day of exploring the breathtaking woodlands, snuggle up on the L-shaped sofa, pop your favourite film on the Smart TV and enjoy the ambient sound of the crackling log burner and river outside.

    Meanwhile, the kitchen is fully equipped with a range of modern facilities. You will have access to an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and a kettle. Prepare delicious feasts to enjoy around the eight-seater dining table, followed by an evening of card games and chatter.

    The master bedroom is the perfect place to rest, relax and rejuvenate. The room features a king-size bed, dressed in beautiful 700-count cotton linen, a Smart TV and a patio door leading out to the private deck.

    Next door is the family bathroom, complete with a modern free-standing bath, a separate shower and luxurious toiletries.

    The second bedroom features two single beds dressed in soft linen sheets and colourful soft furnishings. Patio doors also lead to the private deck with outstanding views of the river.

    Step outside onto the wrap-around balcony where you will discover panoramic views of the River Liddel, a BBQ and outdoor seating with space for four. Spend your days exploring the surrounding woodland or Liddel’s riverbank and return to your very own hot tub under a blanket of stars.

    If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

    Please be mindful that the grounds surrounding the cabin have direct access to the river.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The cabin is situated in the Liddel Valley, surrounded by woodland beside the banks of the River Liddel, which is also the historic English and Scottish border. Just 10 minutes away is the nearest gastro pub & fine dining restaurant, Pentonbridge Inn, serving seasonal dishes with fresh, local produce.

Historic Carlisle is situated 15 miles away and is the main shopping centre in the northern half of Cumbria. Here you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many bars and eateries or enjoy a spot of retail therapy.

The Lake District is just a 40-minute drive away and is great for a day out. Explore Scafell Pike, Wastwater and towns such as Keswick and Bowness-on-Windermere. This breathtaking scenery is not to be missed.

The 7stanes are seven mountain biking trails spanning the south of Scotland. The nearest one to the cabin is in Newcastleton which is approximately 7 miles away. Kielder Water and Forest Park is home to northern Europe’s largest man-made lake and England’s largest forest. Enjoy outdoor activities including sailing, bike trails, walks and tearooms.

Getting around

A car is essential for travelling to the property and ease of getting around. There are two on-site parking spaces.
