However, sooner or later they are bound to tempt you to explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands in more depth.
The spaceFisherman's is a light, bright and airy cabin that blends a modern layout with country-style accents such as floral-print soft furnishings and a wooden bookcase that draws you in to take a closer look at what’s inside.
The open-plan living area features a leather sofa, an armchair and an LCD TV with SKY TV package, Blu Ray DVD player and Nintendo Wii, so there are plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained indoors.
Next to the lounge area is the dining space which has a large table suitable for long, leisurely dinners together, while the modern galley-style kitchen is equipped with quality appliances to make sure your stay here is very comfortable. These include a Bosch double oven, built-in Bosch microwave, a Siemens larder fridge/freezer and that all-important dishwasher. There’s also a wine cooler which is perfect for chilling those drinks to sip outside on warm days and evenings.
From the living area, step through the large sliding doors onto the decked patio and you will be greeted with superb views over the loch. Furnished with garden chairs and a table, many an hour can be whiled away relaxing here. On sunny days, the sun can shine on this spot all day long, but there is a retractable canopy to offer you some shade. If you’d like to enjoy a barbecue dinner a gas barbecue is available upon request.
Fisherman's Lodge features one double bedroom with king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, plus a second bedroom with two single beds. Both have a wardrobe and drawer space for all your belongings. There is also a main bathroom with a bath and shower over. A mega flow water system provides plenty of hot water and good pressure throughout the cabin.
Guest accessOn arrival at the privately-owned estate on which the cabin is located, there is a reception area for check-in, before driving on to Fisherman's Lodge where there is space to park your car.
SustainabilityFisherman's Lodge features programmable, oil-filled, low-energy electric heating. Meanwhile, guests are asked to recycle plastics, glass and paper in the special bins provided, and are encouraged to empty food waste into composting containers.
The estate is a rich habitat for local wildlife including deer, red squirrels and pine martens, as well as a host of birds. Bird feeders and bat boxes are positioned in the grounds to help bird and bat populations to thrive. You can also buy bird food from the on-site shop to fill up feeders and help to look after feathered friends yourself.
If you’re interested in making a longer lasting impact, you can adopt a tree to be planted in a place of your choosing on the estate. This is also a lovely idea for a gift to a loved one to mark a special occasion.
