Exceptional Service

Our award-winning Guest Services team will not only help you find your dream holiday but will support you through every step of your stay.

Equestrian Manor dates back to Georgian times and the property has enjoyed an illustrious history with connections to the local horse racing community. Originally forming part of the extensive Ham Court Estate, it was more recently home to Fred and Mercy Rimell of racehorse training fame, and the house includes many nods to this horse racing history including numerous artworks adorning the walls.

The house is full of period features including a grand entrance hall and drawing room with sumptuous rugs and soft furnishings. The drawing room contains several large sofas to sink into after a long day, and large windows to enjoy the views once you are back indoors. The communal areas are well-apportioned and thoughtfully laid out to maximise enjoyment of the space.

Particularly popular with guests is the mahogany-panelled billiards room with full-sized snooker table, log-burner and globe drinks cabinet. This room is perfect for entertaining guests ahead of dinner or simply to enjoy when the weather is less inclement. There is plenty of space to explore both inside and out so children will always have plenty to do.

The long room can be arranged for up to 28 people around the dining table with two sets of French windows opening out onto the terrace. There’s also a piano to congregate around if your guests are musically inclined. The dining room has entertained numerous birthday’s, Christmases and celebratory dinners and we can also recommend a local chef if you would like assistance with catering.

For those that are keen to cook, there is a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with twin Neff electric cookers and a large fridge-freezer. The kitchen doubles as a breakfast room and there is space around the kitchen table to comfortably seat ten guests.

The winding carpeted staircase takes you upstairs to numerous wonderfully appointed bedrooms each offering different configurations of super king-sized double and single beds. Each of the rooms share common features such as oak-panelled flooring, rugs and modern soft furnishings whilst retaining a unique character.

There are several tiled bathrooms which are all exquisitely decorated and in keeping with the period of the property. We provide nice fluffy towels and local organic hand wash and the main bathroom includes a free-standing bath and walk in shower with plenty of additional room to get ready. Elsewhere there are plenty of additional showers and baths for guests to utilise.

Outside there is a patio space with BBQ and garden furniture providing plenty of entertaining space for dinner or drinks on a warm summer’s evening. The gardens are private and available for your sole use and boast a fire pit and uplit seating area. The gardens are also accompanied by a variety of private woodland and parkland walks which lead to public rights of way and the picturesque riverside town of Upton-upon-Severn.

Finally, to cap off a busy day exploring the local sights there is a hot tub (please see house rules), seating 6-8 people which is perfectly situated to absorb the breathtaking views across The Cotswolds.

Access to the property is via keys in a lock box and we will contact you ahead of your stay to provide the code. Shepherd's Nook, Hidden Hayloft and Woodland Cabin may be subject to an additional charge, depending on the basis of your reservation, please enquire for more information.
