The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped for preparing breakfast, lunch and even dinner – there’s a double hob, a fridge, a toaster and a kettle, as well as a small foldaway table.
Take the weight off your feet on the sofa as you sip a cup of coffee, or watch your favourite programme on the 32-inch flat-screen TV. There’s a log burner to add to the feeling of romance, while additional heating is supplied on a thermostat.
There’s also a double bed with a comfy deep mattress, whilst the shepherd’s hut also has the luxury of a modern en-suite shower room with a basin and WC.
Outside, you’ll have a private walled garden area with seating and a wood-fired hot tub available to use, all to yourself. There is also a private parking space.

The owners live on the site and are available to answer any questions you may have. However, there is a lockbox with a key to allow for a self-check-in. There are other holiday properties on the site.

If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Hot tub - The hot tub is an additional charge, which is detailed in the booking summary.

Dog rules - Dogs are permitted by prior arrangement with an additional fee of £30 per dog

Please note, wood-fired hot tubs take between 3-4 hours to heat initially.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The location is semi-rural and once you’re settled in, there isn’t any need for a car if all you’re after is a relaxing stay with fine Peak District country walks from the door. The local village is about a 5-10-minute stroll away and is very pretty with limestone houses, a duck pond and a pub that serves good local ales and food.

The nearest shops are approximately 3 miles away in Eyam. If you want more choice of places to eat and drink, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs in neighbouring villages and towns. Bakewell is just a 10-minute drive away and here foodies should check out the fine dining options at Fischer Baslow Hall, while history buffs should head to Chatsworth House. The spa town of Buxton is also a short drive, of about 20 minutes, and is a lovely place to explore.
