About the propertyDochart View is a traditional Scottish cottage which is spacious and homely, located on a privately-owned estate in the beautiful Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Surrounded by typical Highland scenery of lush, green mountains and a sparkling loch, Dochart View is an excellent, secluded spot to enjoy time with family or friends, plenty of fresh air, stunning views and a host of walking and cycling trails right on the estate.
The spaceDochart View’s accommodation is spread out over two floors. The spacious, open-plan kitchen has plenty of room and everything you could possibly need to cook all your meals. There’s a breakfast bar for devouring a quick snack at, whilst the dining table is big enough for all eight guests to get around comfortably – perfect for eating dinner whilst discussing plans for the next day’s adventure. On warm days, why not cook up a barbecue feast for your clan to enjoy? A gas barbecue is available on request and will be delivered to the cottage for you.
For getting cosy on rainy days or dark evenings, there’s a large lounge area with two plump sofas that’s a great place to socialise and relax. Also included is an entertainment system with LCD TV, Blu Ray DVD and Nintendo Wii, so you can watch films and play games to your heart’s content.
Meanwhile, French doors in the living area lead outdoors to a private patio equipped with garden furniture so that you can dine al fresco or simply drink in the unrestricted views over Loch Dochart, Glen Dochart and the mountains that include the towering Ben More. You might even be lucky enough to spot deer venturing down from the hills on their way to the lambing meadow, so keep your eyes peeled.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a super king-size double bed and an en-suite shower room, with the added bonus of a spectacular view across Glen Dochart. There are two more double bedrooms upstairs with a shared family bathroom with bath and shower over. The fourth bedroom is downstairs and features two large single beds and an en-suite shower room with power shower.
Guest accessOn arrival at the privately-owned estate on which the cottage is located, there is a reception area for check-in, before driving on to Dochart View where there is space to park your car.
SustainabilityGuests are asked to sort their plastics, glass and paper and deposit them in the recycling bins provided, whilst food waste can be recycled in the composting bins.
The estate is a rich habitat for a plethora of local wildlife including deer, red squirrels and pine martens, as well as a host of birds. Bird boxes, bird feeders and bat boxes are positioned in the grounds to help bird and bat populations to thrive. You can also buy bird food from the on-site shop to fill up feeders and encourage feathered friends yourself.
If you’d like to help further with the estate’s sustainability programme, you can donate to adopt a tree which will be planted in a spot of your choice. You can even purchase a plaque to commemorate the occasion or dedicate the tree to a loved one.

Accidental damage deposit
To maintain the highest standards in our properties, all our guests pay an Accidental Damage Deposit
The majority of our guests take the option to pay a waiver of just 3% of the rental which means that we will cover the costs of any unintentional damages up to the Accidental Damage Deposit amount so that you have peace of mind and can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Accidental Damage Deposit; is held in lieu of any unintentional damage that may occur during your stay. The amount for this property is £200, this is collected with your balance payment and then returned to you automatically within 28 days of your departure.
The owners are very happy to welcome well behaved dogs to stay in this property but for the benefit of all their guests they require all dog owners to adhere to the ‘Dog Rules’ which will be detailed within your confirmation documents:-
- 1 or 2 small to medium sized dogs by prior arrangement only.
- There is a dog fee of £30 per pet applied.
