About the propertyCroft Cottage is a beautifully-converted, stone farm-worker’s house that offers modern, spacious and self-contained accommodation for an enjoyable stay with family or friends. From its elevated, hillside position in the grounds of a working farm, there are sweeping views of the Ayrshire countryside and there’s no better place to admire it all from than the privacy of the bubbling hot tub. Croft Cottage is a brilliant place to relax and get away from it all, yet is perfectly placed for days trips to the region’s castles and world-renowned golf courses.
Croft Cottage is tastefully decorated in a neutral colour palette that doesn’t detract from the stunning scenery outside. Sumptuous soft furnishings and carefully placed flower arrangements are just some of the touches that offer a boutique hotel feel, while the sense of space is all important for a comfortable stay for everyone.
The sitting room offers plenty of light and space, with two plump sofas to sink into after a day out and a Smart TV for rainy days in or movie nights. Meanwhile, the kitchen/diner has a good amount of worktop space and all the equipment you might need to make every meal, plus the usual kettle, toaster and microwave, while the dining table, which is made for six, is big enough to serve up an indulgent buffet-style spread if you fancy a change.
In addition, there is a secure utility room with a washing machine and dryer, as well as storage for things like your golf clubs, bicycles and wellies. Whilst the cottage’s rooms are mainly spread out over one level, the utility room is accessed by an external flight of steps. Croft Cottage has two bedrooms, both with zip-link beds to give you the option of either two king-size beds or four singles. There is also a bathroom with a bath and separate monsoon shower, as well as a shower room.
Outside there is a private garden area with a hot tub from where you can soak and enjoy views over the farm and the countryside beyond. You can also cook up a feast on the gas barbecue, which is an ideal way to spend a summer’s evening.
Guest accessThe cottage is accessed via the farm’s private drive and there is an allocated parking area with space for two cars. However, extra parking may be possible by prior arrangement. On arrival you will be greeted at the cottage and shown around the property, including how to operate the hot tub.
