    Nestled within the thriving village of Cawsand, this delightful coastal cottage is a hidden gem for multigenerational families. It's perfectly placed to enjoy the seaside life with three glorious beaches within walking distance and an abundance of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy. The cottage boasts multiple sociable spaces, including a private garden with a BBQ for alfresco dining and a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove. Should you wish to explore the area further, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained including surfing, bike hire and golf.

  • The space

    Cawsand Coastal Retreat boasts a cosy and contemporary design with a combination of original features and modern fixtures throughout.

    The warm and inviting living room is open-plan with two comfortable armchairs, a two-seater sofa and an original stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove. It's the perfect place to relax with your favourite programme on the Smart TV or get stuck into a family board game after a day at the seaside.

    Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials including an oven, a hob, a fridge, a dishwasher and a bread maker for those extra special picnics at the beach. There is also a ten-seater dining table for sociable meals and two highchairs for the little ones. For a more formal affair or to celebrate a special occasion, head to the delightful dining room to savour delicious meals prepared by a professional chef (at an additional fee).

    The ground floor is complete with a handy utility room and a small WC.

    Venture upstairs where you will find five luxurious bedrooms with boutique-style décor, Egyptian cotton bed linen and calming colour tones. There is a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom on the first floor with an en-suite shower and bathroom each. A further double bedroom, twin bedroom and bunk bedroom can be found on the second floor with a shared bathroom.

    Outside, there is a delightful private garden that is perfect for alfresco dining on warm, summer nights. Enjoy a BBQ, a dining area and outdoor lighting so you can enjoy the space for as long as you like. You will also find two paddle boards and two kayaks to use throughout your stay.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The cottage is located in the village of Cawsands and is well placed to enjoy a range of restaurants and dog-friendly pubs throughout your stay. The Halfway House Inn is a 2-minute walk away and serves home-cooked meals with the sea as your backdrop. For everyday essentials, there is also a Co-op close by.

If you fancy exploring the area on foot, there are many walking routes from the doorstep, including the coastal path from Kingsand and Cawsand. The South West Coast Path and the Rame Peninsula, which hosts part of the Cornish Discovery Trail, are also within easy reach.

You will be spoilt for choice when planning your family days out to the seaside. The cottage’s prime location benefits from many beaches close by including Kingsand Beach, Cawsand Beach, Sandway and Whitsands Bay. If you are feeling adventurous, give surfing a go via the Adventure Bay Surf School.

If the weather is not on your side, visit the world-renowned Eden Project in St Austell and discover its two huge domes of tropical and Mediterranean plant life. Or venture into nearby Plymouth to explore The National Marine Aquarium.

Getting around

A car is essential for travelling to the property and ease of getting around.

There is no private parking, however, Skinners Car Park is close by or you can park at the of the village for free.
