Exceptional Service

The cottage has lovely original features including exposed oak ceiling beams and has been decorated in a modern style with warm colours that help you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door.

On the ground floor, there’s an open-plan living/dining area where everyone can happily spend time together. Curl up on the plump sofa seating to watch TV and you’ll be plenty warm enough thanks to the underfloor heating. If you need a little bit of extra heat, or just like the cosy effect of flickering flames, there’s a log burner too. Within this space, there’s a dining table that seats up to eight guests, so if you have friends or family staying in other accommodation at the farm, you can invite them over for dinner.

Whoever is preparing dinner can easily be involved with conversations going on in the lounge area so they don’t miss out. With a country cottage style, the well-equipped kitchen features oak cabinets, granite worktops, a Belfast sink and a double Range oven, as well as a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

If you don’t feel like cooking, arrangements can be made for a local catering company to deliver to you, so that pretty much all you have to do is warm the food up. Or, you can book a personal chef to whip up a meal for a special occasion, or even to cook for you every day if you wish.

Meanwhile, the utility room offers space to dry out muddy coats and boots, as well as a washing machine.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The master suite has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. There’s also a bedroom with a double bed and one with two single beds, plus a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

At the front of the cottage, there’s a private garden with a lawn that is the ideal place for children to let off some steam, adults to sip a glass of wine, or everyone to enjoy a barbecue on the patio which has a table and chairs for dining alfresco.

The owners live on the site and are available to answer any questions you may have. However, there is a lockbox with a key to allow for a self-check-in. There are other holiday properties on the site and there is ample parking, with this cottage benefitting from a private parking space.

If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Dog rules - Up to 2 dogs are permitted by prior arrangement at an additional fee of £30 per dog

Massage and beauty treatments can be pre-arranged for you to enjoy in the comfort of the cottage.

Location

The neighbourhood

The location is semi-rural and once you’re settled in, there isn’t any need for a car if all you’re after is a relaxing stay with fine Peak District country walks from the door. The local village is about a 5-10-minute stroll away and is very pretty with limestone houses, a duck pond and a pub that serves good ales and food.

The nearest shops are approximately 3 miles away in Eyam. If you want more choice of places to eat and drink, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs in neighbouring villages and towns. Bakewell is just a 10-minute drive away and here foodies should check out the fine dining options at Fischer Baslow Hall, while history buffs should head to Chatsworth House. The spa town of Buxton is also a short drive, of about 20 minutes, and is a lovely place to explore.

If you’re looking for more action, activities including abseiling, rock-climbing, guided walks and cycling can be pre-arranged by the property owners. Please ask our Guest Services team for details.

Getting around

A car is advised for travelling to this property. There is a local bus service that operates from the pub in the village which is a 5-10-minute walk away.
