Surrounded by rolling hills in the Worcestershire countryside, Ashwood Shepherd’s Hut is a romantic escape for two with style and comfort at its heart. From the minute you arrive, there’s a feeling of luxury created by a combination of natural hessian-covered walls, oak floors and timber cladding, paired with a handcrafted roll-top bath and an outdoor bar. Should you wish to explore beyond your abode, Malvern Hills AONB, Worcester and the Cotswolds are all within easy reach.

  • The space

Step through the stable door and into the warm and inviting living space. The underfloor heating paves the way to the handcrafted kitchen which is well-equipped with all the essentials including a microwave, a two-ring induction hob, a toaster, fridge and a selection of cooking utensils. Meanwhile, the L-shaped sofa provides the perfect place to chat about your day whilst enjoying the warmth of the cosy log burner.

There is also a handy wet room with a WC and shower.

In keeping with the open-plan theme, the king-sized bedroom is divided by a partial wall and has been carefully designed to maximise the space and views. Enjoy sumptuously soft furnishings, a Smart TV and a luxuriously handmade roll-top bath at the foot of the bed for that extra cosy touch.

When the sun is shining, open the patio doors which lead to a private terrace with an outdoor bar and drinks fridge. Relax with a tipple of your choice while you admire the unspoilt views with your nearest and dearest.

The shepherd’s hut is located in the Worcestershire countryside with many scenic walks from the doorstep. The nearest pub is The Masons Arms which is just 6 minutes away by car and serves a range of traditional meals, sharing boards and local ales. There is a tuck shop in each property offered by the owner's young son with a small section of snacks.

For some city life, historic Worcester is 11 miles away where plenty of attractions include the cathedral, the racecourse and The Commandery which was the Royalists’ headquarters during the English Civil War.

The riverside town of Bewdley is 12 miles away and is often described as the perfect small Georgian town in Worcester. There is lots to see and do including river walks, museums and beautiful gardens, plus there is a great selection of pubs, takeaways and restaurants.

For a fun day out, the famous Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park are under an hour away. Or, if you are after a real adventure, head to the Wyre Forest where you can whizz through the trees on a zip wire at Go Ape.

With two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds, within easy reach too, there are plenty more opportunities for outdoor pursuits and long hikes through picturesque, unspoilt countryside.
